 Damage / Mischief to Property:

  • To file a report online, you must ensure that the incident occured within the City of Sault Ste. Marie or Prince Township.
  • You must have a valid email address to use this system.
  • If there is a known suspect, you cannot make an online report.  Please attend at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service's building, 580 Second Line East, and make your report to a Police officer or call (705) 949-6300 ext. 210 - Duty Desk Officer - or select "9" for the assistance of a Police Communicator/Dispatcher.


Report filing tips:

  • When you click the "Submit Report" button, you will receive a confirmation email that your report is complete.
  • Your report will be assigned a temporary report case number.
  • You will be forwarded a copy of the information you submitted to keep for your records.


Remember that:

  • It may take up to 48 hours for your report to be reviewed. 
  • If you need an immediate response, please call (705) 949-6300 or 9-1-1.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted in 2-3 business days.
  • We do not accept reports filed on behalf of a third party, i.e. another person or for public property.
  • Reports must be filed by the actual complainant, owner, or authorized representative.
  • Please make sure to turn off any pop-up blocking software before filing the report.


 Filing a false police report is a crime.
